Under close supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Student Assistant will assist the Desktop Support Services Section (DSSS) with day-to-day personal computer (PC) support for the Department of Justice (DOJ) staff at various DOJ offices and labs statewide. These offices and labs include the Attorney General, Bureau of Forensic Services laboratories, California Justice Information Services Division, and Division of Law Enforcement headquarters, regional, and task force offices.
The Student Assistant will also work with DSSS & Technical Assistance Center in responding to clients request for assistance with PC and/or software problems, answering information technology questions, performing PC and software installations and setup; and assisting other Hawkins Data Center services units with installations and support of network servers and/or communications equipment.
