Insituform Technologies, LLC is looking for an experienced Assistant Project Manager.
Insituform Technologies, LLC, a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions company, is a leading worldwide provider of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) and other technologies and services for the rehabilitation of pipeline systems. Insituform's businesses consist of sewer, drinking water, and energy and mining pipeline rehabilitation and protection. The company provides cost-effective solutions to remediate operational, health, regulatory and environmental problems resulting from aging and defective pipelines. Insituform's technologies allow its customers to avoid the extraordinary expense and extreme disruption that can result from traditional "dig and replace" methods.
Responsibilities:
The Junior Project Manager plans, directs and manages all activities of assigned projects to ensure that company objectives for customer satisfaction, safety, quality, production, revenue and profit are met within a prescribed time frame. Works with Project Manager to be responsible and accountable for the project management system, tools and personnel for all assigned projects from the time a project is acquired through the final payment of closed projects.
Ensures site survey for estimating is complete and accurate.
Acquires fully executed contracts from customers and sub-contractors.
Manages all sub-contractor activity.
Provides General Manager, Field Engineers(s), Superintendents(s), and appropriate sub- contractors with Job Transfer and work schedule.
Administers Internal Project Meetings with the Superintendent(s), Field Engineer(s) and appropriate sub-contractors to make necessary changes and finalize the work schedule.
Procures Critical Project Documents (necessary permits, submittals, sub-contractor insurance requirements) required by the specifications or client.
Monitors projects daily and records production and job costs into the project management system.
Prepares weekly and monthly Project Progress Reports as required.
Identifies changes in the scope of work to determine if there is an opportunity or need to submit a Change Order Request to the customer. Facilitates and executes all Change Orders with the customer.
Plans and holds Project Status Meetings with the customer, sub-contractors, Field
Engineer(s) and Superintendents(s) as necessary.
Monitors and verifies all sub-contractor production daily and records progress in the project management system.
Verifies and records all committed and actual job costs into the project management system daily.
Completes a Project Close Out Report to identify final changes in work scope, additional revenue opportunities, punch list items and any hindrances that may delay close out
and final payment.
Submits invoices and collects payments from the customer in a timely manner.
Identifies new business opportunities with existing customers.
Updates and maintains customer/contact database for all contacts associated with any project, existing customers, sub-contractors, prime contractors or any other parties that may influence or impact Insituform’s success.
Ensure timely job-site preparation to maintain superior crew loading.
Performs responsibilities of Field Engineer when that resource is not available.
Accountable for DSO’s and DSO.DPO spread.
Attends the customer’s Pre-Construction Meeting and ensures that necessary personnel and sub-contractors attend.
Qualifications:
This position requires the skills and experience generally associated with the attainment of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related fields.
A valid driver’s license required with clean motor vehicle report.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Must have strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate and empower an organization. In addition, must be a strong communicator and be able to take the initiative to function without day-to-day guidance.
Must act as an example to support regional support staff and field engineers.
Must be willing to share good and bad news. Willing and able to work with others to solve problems.
Takes responsibility for the outcome of projects and works with team mitigate potential and actual challenges.

Work Environment: In performing the duties for this job, the employee will generally work in an office type environment but will occasionally be required to work in outside weather conditions (occasionally near job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations). Will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate. Travel by automobile and airplane required.
