Nature and aim of the position

Quality Assurance (QA) Automated Testers are in charge of testing integrated systems both internal and external. This includes third party messages, MCG, VTG, Middleware that interacts with CS POS/ATM/EComm hardware/software/ Host code/ Scheme mandates. Testing and Certification ensures the transaction message meets client and industry specifications or requirements.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with 5-7 years’ experience.

Main duties and responsibilities

o Work closely with developers, business stakeholders and act as an integral part of the CS development team using iterative development process

o Work with development teams to create test plans for enhancements and fixes on applications

o Work as a part of team to perform manual/automated functional, regression and performance testing on Data Invariant Layer project

o Work as part of a team to perform manual / automated functional, regression and performance testing on all Utility Technology systems and projects

o Help manage, develop, and improve processes and procedures within the department

o Manages work to work plans for components on engagements

o Provide a positive role model, in terms of both work performance and attitude

Main KPI’s

o How many requirements are addressed directly and indirectly in testing?

o What are the targets set for the defects fixed per day/ per version/ per sprint?

o How many test cases have been completed? – Daily/ weekly/ per project iteration/ per version build

o How many Active Defects are there? – Defect management need to ensure that critical and major defects are fixed asap to not block any development.

o Finalization of Development – Completion of the project depends on updated Test Cases, Release notes and the completion of all handover documentation. This also includes updated project specs and notes. It also relies on End User feedback from the Implementation team to the site managers and cardholders.

o Meeting Sprint tasks and completing them within the Sprint period (10 working days)

Background and Education o Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance methodology and Agile o Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and quality o Understanding of SQL (be able to pull basic data from SQL queries.) o Knowledge of Linux commands o Amazing attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting skills o Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyse situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions o Good defect management skills from detection to correction

Specific skills and knowledge

o ADT requirement: SQL, Linux command, knowledge and experience. Bonus knowledge and experience: IPM/ Base II and running shell script.

o Development requirement: An ability to create test cases. Experience in Java, BDD, Jenkins, ReadyAPI/SoupUI. API Testing, JMeter for performance testing, some familiarity with Testrail would be an advantage.

o Payments knowledge: ISO messages, EMV and Contactless tags, AID, TMS knowledge

o Solid experience in Integration & API testing with tools like ReadyAPI, jMeter, Postman, REST based tools etc o Payments experience: POS/ ATM experience, Knowledge of AS2805 and ISO 8583 (Advantageous) o Hotel or Retail or Food/Beverage in-house systems experience. Knowledge of , Opera, Simphony, Shiji, etc…

o Good logical thinking plus some creative thinking outside the box leading to a good QA sense.
