All while understanding that together we are even better. **Schedule:** Days **Shift:** Full Time Exempt Salaried Position **Location:** AdventHealth Orlando GT10 Neurosurgical PCU- 601 East Rollins St. Orlando FL **The role you’ll contribute:** The overall goal of The Spine Center Program Manager is to improve organizational clinical/operational outcomes for spine-related conditions and procedures. Coordinates, delegates, provides and evaluates care of patients, including planning and delivering patient-focused care in partnership with interdisciplinary teams, the patient and family. Helps individuals with spinal conditions navigate the medical system and receive timely and appropriate evaluation, treatment and education services. Facilitates a patient and physician- friendly experience within the AdventHealth Spine Care Program. Assists in planning and conducting community outreach activities, including screenings. Helps assist patients in accessing appropriate resources. Strives continually for innovative and creative strategies to affect and improve patient quality of life. Gathers, records and evaluates program data to use this data in establishing and evaluating program goals. Facilitates, with physician, administrative, and nursing leader(s), an interdisciplinary team to support clinical/operational goals, establish growth/volume/market goals, implement evidence-based protocol, and monitor adherence to established patient pathways, etc. **The value you’ll bring to the team:** + Provides leadership to and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to affect change across the system and implement interdepartmental initiatives to improve clinical care processes and ensure best outcomes. + Facilitates communication among departments and role models critical thinking by applying active and proactive problem solving to complex clinical and operational issues. + Monitors performance of staff and takes corrective action for improvement as appropriate **.** Mentors and coaches employees on a continual basis in order to ensure competency. + Initiates individualized plan of care, identifies needs and develops/modifies plan of care, as needed, in coordination with appropriate spine care team members. Evaluates patients’ developmental level, identifies physical/emotional needs that may affect treatment, and evaluates support system needs to enhance patient care and outcomes. + Completes follow-up assessments and evaluations. Investigates questionable situations. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications and facilitates care plan modifications, as needed. Initiates age-appropriate care, as required. + Participates in patient rounds, observes spine patients, and involves nurse manager, physician, physical therapy, or others, as required, to address needs of the patient. Evaluates, monitors and assists with discharge planning, recommending alternative levels of care. Qualifications **What You Will Need:** + Graduate of a school of nursing with BSN + Minimum of three years of experience in spine care + Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification + Bachelor’s Degree Required + Master’s degree in Nursing (Preferred) + Experience as a spine center manager (Preferred) + Past teaching experience in formal/informal settings with knowledge of adult learning principles (Preferred) + Clinical experience in the Neurosciences field This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
