About the role
As a QA Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our quality assurance frameworks, actively participating in the delivery of team goals and features. You will contribute to the test automation and efficiency tools of our QA and Product teams. You will also partner with our QA and Development leaders to identify the best opportunities and technology for our projects and contribute towards the architecture and tests suite to reach our quality assurance goals.

What You’ll Achieve
- Partner with the Staff QA Engineer and contribute to our central test framework, working with QA and Dev leaders in defining ongoing requirements.
- Contribute with ideas that enable tech innovations within the team.
- Contribute to building a suite of automated tests for internal tooling.
- Be part of creating our initial core test suites and have an opportunity to define quality from the early stages.
- Contribute to the development and research of our infrastructure and DevOps teams.
- Provide support and maintenance of our test architecture to the needs and requests of the game and engineering teams.
- Contribute to defining tooling and solutions that serve as best practices for QA automation efforts.
- Be part of the team defining the overall Fortis QA advanced test strategy for all projects.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- Proficiency in programming languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python) and experience with front-end frameworks (React, Angular) and Node.js.
- Experience automating infrastructure integrity and deployment validations, as well as validating end-to-end infrastructure deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and operational health with tools like AWS, Azure, Terraform, Ansible, or Kubernetes.
- Define and monitor quality rules in tools such as Datadog, Intrinsic, and BugSnag.
- Contribution to building or extending automation frameworks using libraries such as Playwright, Cypress, or WebdriverIO (WDIO).
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services, including S3, EC2, and messaging services.
- Familiarity with RDBMS such as Postgres (with the ability to write SQL queries) and MongoDB Atlas.
- Strong understanding of API contract testing, Linux environments, and CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Experience working with infrastructure, DevOps, and orchestration tools like Terraform and Terragrunt; demonstrated ability to work embedded in teams; strong ownership; and excellent written and verbal English skills for global collaboration.
