JOB SUMMARYThe Laboratory Assistant at North Mississippi Health Services is responsible for obtaining accurate and adequate blood samples in a timely and confidential manner. The assistant will also assist in properly charting tests, perform secretarial duties such as answering telephone lines, filing, and monthly report gathering, and ensure adherence to general safety and infection control standards. The role involves extensive communication with various personnel, including inter and intra-departmental employees, physicians, their office personnel, and the public.
