QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. Proficient in the use of personal computer, Microsoft Office applications, e-mail, internet and departmental specific applications, etc.
  3. Competency in basic accounting with a minimum three (3) years experience in payroll functions preferred.
  4. Ability to communicate with diverse internal and external publics.
  5. Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.
  6. Competency in CFISD proficiency test (score 80 or above).

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

250 days

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$32,513.– CP4

Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Review, correct and maintain ancillary payroll records using an automated timekeeping system.
  2. Process leave (sick, personal and vacation) requests and transfer to period totals report.
  3. Maintain accurate and up to date payroll files.
  4. Preparation of payroll adjustment report bi-weekly.
  5. Input schedules to automated timekeeping system.
  6. Aid in the confirmation and compensation of all incentive programs.
  7. Answer external and internal payroll inquiries concerning hourly employees.
  8. Answer inquiries concerning employee leave balances.
  9. Support the department/district with regular and reliable attendance.
  10. Follow district/department policies, procedures and guidelines.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by department director or designee.
  12. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
