Make a Difference as a Millwright

As a Millwright at Ergon, Inc., you'll take on a hands-on, problem-solving role focused on keeping our operations running smoothly. Your day will include preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of rotating equipment like pumps, gearboxes, and mixers, along with inspections. You'll rebuild equipment as needed, and apply your electrical skills to support a safe, efficient work environment while working alongside a skilled, team-oriented crew.

Enjoy the stability of a guaranteed 40-hour workweek with a flexible schedule - work four 10-hour days (4/10s) from late spring to early fall, giving you long weekends! Weekend and after-hours callouts are rare, and travel typically follows a Monday-through-Friday schedule, allowing you to enjoy your evenings and weekends. Plus, with the potential for over 300 hours of overtime annually, you'll have ample opportunities to refine your expertise.

Due to the nationwide spread of our facilities, this position requires up to 75% travel. Trip duration is capped at 2 weeks for the rare jobs that extend through the weekend.

Job Duties

  • Service, repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on rotating equipment.
  • Maintain records of all service and repairs and ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with all procedures, rules and regulations.

Required Skills:

  • Experienced Mechanic/Millwright with a strong track record of quality-focused work
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, repairing, and aligning rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, and mixers
  • Competent with electrical multi-meter and 120vac and 480vac.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting
  • The person chosen must be capable of lifting or moving objects that weigh 50 pounds or more and perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and climbing tanks or other structures.
  • Capable of working extensive overtime, up to 80 hours, and weekends when needed
