As a Procurement Specialist at Achievers, you will be a key contributor to our strategic sourcing and procurement operations across hardware, software, and services. In this cross-functional role, you’ll collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver cost-effective, timely, and compliant procurement solutions. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Procurement, you’ll support the full procurement lifecycle—from vendor selection and negotiation to contracting and onboarding—while helping shape procurement best practices and policy documentation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive professional with strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes within defined spend thresholds, including sourcing, vendor evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, and onboarding—leveraging ZIP for workflow efficiency.
  • Drive cost savings and reduce risk by securing favourable pricing and contract terms.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as IT, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Information Security to align procurement strategies with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Foster and maintain strong, strategic vendor relationships to support long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Manage procurement across diverse categories including technology, marketing, sales, security, and corporate services.
  • Contribute to OPEX budget management, conduct category spend analysis, and identify opportunities for cost optimization, consolidation, and vendor rationalization.
  • Support key procurement metrics including negotiated savings, software budget run-rate reduction, procurement cycle time, category spend analysis, total addressable spend, and overall procurement ROI.
  • Play an active role in shaping and promoting the procurement function and brand within Achievers.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or customer-facing support roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain. relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Ability to scale from tactical tasks (e.g., PO creation) to strategic initiatives (e.g., vendor discussions).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Operational excellence mindset, including experience improving internal processes and resolving. AP/Payment issues.
  • High ethical standards with a commitment to clear, transparent communication.
  • Eagerness to continuously learn and grow with the procurement function.
  • Familiarity with IT contract terms and conditions; comfortable negotiating legal terms is a strong asset.
  • Experience with procurement and financial systems such as ticketing tools, ZIPHQ, and ERP platforms.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills, with a passion for process adherence and follow-through.
  • Experience managing procurement across categories including software, hardware, professional services, and facilities.
  • Prior experience with software implementation projects (e.g., ZIP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in policy development and compliance is a significant bonus—especially the ability to help create and maintain procurement policy documentation and ensure adherence to existing policies.
  • Proficiency in procurement reporting and spend analysis.
  • Nice to have: CPSM or CIPS certification.
