Director of Instruction
The Woodlands Country Club
The Woodlands is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Instruction to lead and enhance our golf instructional programs. The Director of Instruction will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality golf instruction, developing teaching programs, and fostering a positive learning environment for members and guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive golf instruction programs for players of all skill levels, including private lessons, group clinics, and junior programs.
- Design specialized programs to address specific aspects of the game, such as swing mechanics, short game, and course management.
- Conduct individual and group lessons, focusing on personalized instruction to meet the needs of each golfer.
- Utilize video analysis, launch monitors, and other teaching aids to enhance the learning experience.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help golfers achieve their goals.
- Implement player development initiatives to enhance the skills and enjoyment of golf for all members.
- Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent to create practice facilities conducive to skill development.
- Organize and lead golf clinics, workshops, and special events to engage members and promote the instructional programs.
- Coordinate with the Golf Events Coordinator to integrate instruction into golf events.
- Effectively communicate instructional offerings to members through various channels, including the club's website, newsletters, and social media.
- Collaborate with the Marketing department to create promotional materials and campaigns.
- Stay current with technological advancements in golf instruction and integrate relevant tools and software into teaching methods.
- Utilize digital platforms for scheduling lessons and communicating with students.
Qualifications:
- PGA or LPGA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Golf Instructor with a track record of successful coaching.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with golf industry trends, instructional methodologies, and technology.
- Ability to tailor instruction to different learning styles and skill levels.
