Reporting to the SVP, Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIDO), the VP, Chief of Applications is responsible for all aspects of the enterprise applications portfolio that support the overall missions of Stanford Health Care (SHC) and Stanford Medicine. This includes strategic planning, defining the investment mix, overseeing the portfolio structure, executive communications and accountability for implementations and software operations.
The VP, Chief of Applications is a strategic partner to senior business, operations, and clinical leaders of the health system, charged with aligning software investments to create value for these business units, patients, and customers. The role will align closely with other members of the Technology & Digital Solutions (TDS) leadership team to integrate applications with infrastructure, analytics, facilities programs, informatics, data science, research technologies, etc.
The VP, Chief of Applications is the principle executive contact for key technology partners to maintain alignment with SHC goals. They will work with the CIDO and TDS leadership team to ensure that projects are aligned with clinical and business strategies and objectives. The VP will also be involved with SHC joint ventures that rely on technology to support new businesses.
The VP, Chief of Applications also provides executive oversight and leadership to the TDS applications teams ensuring that systems and processes are well integrated and comprehensively improve stakeholder return on investment. This role is responsible for ensuring that TDS priorities are aligned with SHC's strategic priorities and goals and has direct responsibility for core platforms. This includes but is not limited to overseeing capital & operating budgets, risk management, strategic alignment of IT investments, demand management, and standardization of enterprise investments in technology.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $140.00 - $185.19 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
