What you’ll do as a MXU Coordinator
- Must be familiar with engineering concepts (e.g. fiber optic cable and structure).
- Provide administrative and field support for inside path placement projects.
- Complete all required forms and documents.
- Knowledge of PC applications and the mechanized support systems
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Requires HS diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of outside plant facilities, ISP (inside path design) and fiber technologies.
- Knowledge of PC software package tools, including word processing (i.e. Word, Excel).
Knowledge of
- Telecommunications industry standards
- Regulations for OSP facilities
- Aerial or underground construction methods and engineering requirements
- Government permit requirements
- OSP facilities, construction techniques and conduit records
- Easement, right of way and permit documents
- AutoCAD/Microstation or Geographic Information Systems
- Fiber optic counts, fiber assignments and splicing schematics
Physical abilities & exposures
- Routinely: operate vehicle, walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
- Vision Abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally: climb stairs and stand
Salary starting at $27.00/hour based on experience
