We are seeking an experienced MXU Coordinator for the Maryland and DC market area.

What you’ll do as a MXU Coordinator

  • Must be familiar with engineering concepts (e.g. fiber optic cable and structure).
  • Provide administrative and field support for inside path placement projects.
  • Complete all required forms and documents.
  • Knowledge of PC applications and the mechanized support systems
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Requires HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of outside plant facilities, ISP (inside path design) and fiber technologies.
  • Knowledge of PC software package tools, including word processing (i.e. Word, Excel).

Knowledge of

  • Telecommunications industry standards
  • Regulations for OSP facilities
  • Aerial or underground construction methods and engineering requirements
  • Government permit requirements
  • OSP facilities, construction techniques and conduit records
  • Easement, right of way and permit documents
  • AutoCAD/Microstation or Geographic Information Systems
  • Fiber optic counts, fiber assignments and splicing schematics

Physical abilities & exposures

  • Routinely: operate vehicle, walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
  • Vision Abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Occasionally: climb stairs and stand

Salary starting at $27.00/hour based on experience
