About the role:

Analysts create must-have insights for our clients through published research and client interaction helping solve organizational challenges that lead to better performance.

As part of Gartner’s Corporate Assurance Practice, you will join a dynamic team focused on advising Chief Audit Executives (CAE) and other assurance leaders at the world’s largest companies create greater value for their firms.

This role will meaningfully expand insight and support for CAEs. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and ideas-driven individual to help serve clients on the topics below.

What you will do:

As a Gartner analyst, you will engage with clients every day: on the phone, in videoconferences, or even on-stage at a Gartner event. To support these conversations you will research practices, trends, technology, and produce research for Gartner clients to view online or download and apply.

You will:

Create insightful, actionable research for Chief Audit Executives, providing best practices and advice on audit planning, strategic leadership, and leading the Internal Audit function of the future—including key executive skills, auditor profiles, and how technology (e.g., automation, analytics, AI) enhances or impairs value delivery.

Stay ahead of the curve on emerging developments and issues (e.g., ESG, cybersecurity, regulatory changes, DEI, digital transformation) by understanding the broader market and ecosystem related to Audit function and CAE success, partnering with internal experts, and learning from client best practices.

Maintain Gartner’s industry leadership reputation by thoughtfully responding to press inquiries and representing Gartner at industry events.

What you will need:

Bachelors degree and 12+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

10+ years of experience within Internal Audit and assurance.

Demonstrated experience leading teams, developing function strategy, preparing audit plans, and building talent and relationships across the organization.

Knowledge of and experience working as a CAE or in a similar role.

Experience and interest in advising, presenting to, and writing for the most senior levels of an organization (e.g., Chief Audit Executives, Head of Risk/ERM, GC, Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer, CEO, and Board of Directors)

Demonstrate executive presence; with the ability to establish credibility with executives and additional stakeholders.

High learning agility and comfort navigating highly matrixed, fast-changing environments.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences and influence at all levels.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 152,000 USD - 190,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
