Our products are relied upon by users all over the world to provide a seamless and effective service wherever and whenever they need it. Software artefacts are provided by our development teams.

Responsibilities

Your core responsibilities can include (but are not limited to)

  • Leading a squad/project’s quality efforts
  • Release management : Proactively support mobile app (iOS/Android) and backend releases, ensuring readiness and quality at each stage, including maintaining up-to-date release documentation and delivering timely QA sign-offs
  • Devising and creating manual tests for Web, App and backend
  • Executing on Front end (Web/Mobile) as well as Backend
  • Ensure all test activities & test data are well-documented in test management tools (e.g X-ray)
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to give early feedback on testability, usability, and edge cases
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on requirements
  • Design, develop, execute automation scripts
  • Estimate, prioritise, plan, and coordinate testing activities
  • Raise, investigate, and document high-quality bug reports that add value and context.
  • Operate in an agile development environment, taking a hands-on role in sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional discussions.

Your tasks will be to

  • Drive testing activities with minimal supervision and proactively step in to support the QA lead when needed.
  • Mentor junior testers on quality best practices, test planning, and test execution approaches.
  • Work closely with the Product and Tech Teams in order to provide timely and meaningful feedback regarding testability and usability
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases based on requirements
  • Estimate, prioritise, plan, and coordinate testing activities ahead of mobile app releases
  • Develop and execute manual test scripts for critical and edge-case scenarios across mobile platforms.
  • Proactively lead and perform thorough regression testing ahead of mobile app releases.
  • Take initiative in identifying risks, gaps, or inconsistencies in requirements or implementations.
  • Represent the QA function in squad-level meetings and occasionally in wider team ceremonies as the backup lead when needed.
  • Work in an agile environment and closely collaborate with different teams in the company, participating in the development processes

To be successful

You will have:

  • 5 or 6+ years of experience with manual testing across different platforms (iOS, Android) and Web.
  • Solid understanding of JIRA/Confluence/X-Ray workflows, ticket statuses, completion tracking etc.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles, methods and processes
  • Solid understanding of mobile technologies and applications
  • Experience in API and Web services testing using manual test tools such as Postman
  • A natural inclination to take initiative, ask the right questions, and fill gaps without being prompted.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a desire to contribute beyond day-to-day testing , whether through documentation, team processes, or onboarding newer members.
  • Knowledge of gherkin style acceptance testing.
  • Be strong in:
    • Experience in developing automation for web and mobile application
    • Functional testing
    • Usability testing
    • Experience in load, stress and security testing is a plus
    • Previous experience acting as a QA point of contact or stepping up as interim QA lead.

Qualifications

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science / Mathematics or similar from a leading University
