What you'll do

The Consultant, ESL Sustainment, will play a crucial role in managing the ordering, shipment, and overall management of Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) within our stores. You will collaborate closely with the Operations team, the Canadian Tire Dealers Association (CTDA) and the vendor to ensure efficient receiving, storage, and ongoing management of ESL assets. Additionally, you will work closely with the Changeover team to facilitate a smooth transition of ESL assets during Dealer Changeovers. Your expertise will also be valuable in supporting the Digital Team by implementing new enhancements requested by Dealers.

  • ESL Management and Support: Take charge of ordering, shipment, and coordination of ESLs for our stores. This includes ensuring timely delivery, accurate inventory management, and collaborating with the Operations team to optimize processes related to receiving, storage, and ongoing management of ESL assets. Manage the ESL inbox and promptly respond to inquiries related to order status, availability, or any other concerns from stakeholders. This role requires effective communication skills over the phone as well as via email to ensure timely and accurate responses while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Changeover Collaboration: Collaborate with the Changeover team to establish seamless transitions during Dealer Changeovers. You will coordinate the transfer and setup of ESL assets, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and a smooth experience for both Dealers and store teams.
  • Digital Enhancements: Work closely with the Digital Team to implement any new enhancements requested by Dealers concerning ESLs. This may involve configuring software settings, conducting system tests, and providing training or support to both internal teams and Dealers.

What you bring

  • 2+ years’ experience in the retail industry; Fulfillment, Order Management, Store Operations, Digital or eCommerce
  • Familiar with our Canadian Tire Dealer model and have a strong understanding of store operations
  • Familiarity with electronic shelf labels (ESLs) is advantageous.
  • Action-oriented with a thirst for knowledge to learn agile product management, store technology, and more
  • Collaborative team player with superior influencing skills, who builds relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward
  • Experience building out store training and change management plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, providing great insights and recommendations
  • Technical proficiency with software systems and digital tools.
  • Experience analyzing data to drill down into key, actionable insights
  • Experience working in a Canadian Tire store or other retailer is considered a major asset
