Job Title: Sr. AWS Developer (ONSITE)

Work Location: Charlotte, NC

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Developer with 5 to 8 years of experience to join our team in an Onsite work model. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Kafka AWS Redshift and AWS Lambda. Experience in the Utilities and Smart Grid domain is a plus. The role involves developing and optimizing data solutions to enhance our business operations and societal impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement scalable data solutions using Kafka AWS Redshift and AWS Lambda to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize data architectures that meet project requirements.
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Ensure data integrity and security across all platforms and applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data processing and storage.
  • Optimize performance of data pipelines and workflows to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Document technical specifications and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster skill development.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure innovative solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Support the deployment and monitoring of applications in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

  • Possess strong expertise in Kafka AWS Redshift and AWS Lambda with proven experience in developing data solutions.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Utilities and Smart Grid domain as a valuable asset.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Show proficiency in designing and optimizing data architectures for complex projects.
  • Have a strong understanding of data security and integrity principles.
  • Display effective communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be adaptable to a hybrid work model with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Skills required:

  • Kafka
  • AWS Redshift
  • AWS Lambda
  • Informatica
  • AWS Glue (Python, PySpark)
  • Hands on experience creating pipeline for streaming data using Apache flink
  • Building CICD pipeline using Terraform
  • The role requires a solid ability in writing complex queries and direct experience with Redshift and Aurora.
  • Candidates should also be proficient in building data pipelines using Terraform.
  • While the primary focus is on development, the role also requires skills often associated with a Data Analyst, particularly in understanding and structuring data.
  • Experience in the Utilities and Smart Grid domain is a significant plus.
  • This role involves developing and optimizing robust data solutions to enhance our business operations and societal impact.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until June/18/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,000 – $122,999 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
