We’re looking for an experienced Senior Designer, Web and Email to fill this hybrid role which is based out of our Seattle office. In this critical role you’ll be responsible for delivering high-impact digital experiences that support marketing campaigns and business objectives. This includes designing and producing responsive emails, web landing pages, web banners, and other digital assets that are visually compelling, brand-consistent, and optimized for performance. You’ll collaborate closely with the Creative Services, Marketing, Web, and Project Management teams to ensure all assets are strategically aligned, timely, and effective. By combining design expertise with technical execution, you’ll help drive engagement, conversion, and an elevated customer experience across digital touchpoints.

Responsibilities
- Design and produce responsive emails, web landing pages, and digital assets using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and basic front-end tools (HTML/CSS), ensuring quality, performance, and adherence to brand and legal standards.
- Review and provide on-time constructive feedback—both written and verbal—on design proofs to uphold creative standards and support team-wide continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Project Managers using Asana to manage status/timelines, prioritize tasks, and gather feedback to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
- Lead and contribute to strategic digital initiatives by presenting design solutions and innovative ideas that enhance e-marketing programs and web experiences.
- Collaborate with and support other designers, agencies, and web producers/developers in applying best practices and improving team workflows.
- Research and stay current with design trends and best practices, applying insights to improve visual quality, engagement, and consistency across email and web deliverables.
- Contribute to team-wide design standards and workflow enhancements.
- Support other tactical communication/projects as assigned by the Manager or Project Manager, ensuring design needs across channels are met with consistency and quality.
- Mentor and support training new email and web designers by providing onboarding assistance, workflow guidance, and first-round design revisions as assigned.
- Complete time tracking, job logging, and asset archiving via Asana, CIL Asset Library, and Adobe Workfront. Ensure design integrity through proofreading, quality assurance, and maintenance of asset documentation via Asana and SharePoint or similar platforms.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 8 years professional experience
- Proficient in Visual Design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- Responsive Web/Email Design experience
- Intermediate Front-End Development Skills (HTML/CSS)
- Preferred experience, but not required:
- Motion Graphics
- UX/UI best practices
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).
Please note that this is a hybrid position based in Seattle, WA. Candidates must be comfortable coming into the office 3 days/week (Tuesday-Thursday).

- Base Salary Range: $72,200.00-$97,500.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
