Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Splunk Administrator / Developer with strong experience in SignalFX to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, deployment, and administration of Splunk Enterprise across multi-site environments, spanning both on-premise and public cloud infrastructures.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring IT system observability and performance monitoring, and it demands hands-on expertise with SignalFX, Linux, and scripting languages. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and must be prepared to support critical deployments during off-hours and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage Splunk Enterprise in a multi-site, hybrid cloud environment
• Maintain and optimize data ingestion pipelines, indexes, knowledge objects, and dashboards
• Develop and maintain integrations between Splunk and cloud monitoring tools, especially SignalFX
• Collaborate with stakeholders across development, operations, and business teams to deliver monitoring solutions
• Provide proactive system health checks and troubleshooting for Splunk-related issues
• Support observability initiatives across multiple products and services
• Participate in release management and deployment support outside regular business hours
• Ensure data accuracy, relevance, and accessibility for all Splunk data consumers.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven expertise with Splunk Enterprise (installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting)
• Strong experience in SignalFX cloud monitoring
• Advanced proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language) and regex
• Proficient in Bash and Python scripting; experience with other scripting languages is a plus
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems
• Experience with monitoring tools and observability best practices
• Hands-on experience integrating cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes with Splunk
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business units.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience supporting large enterprise environments with distributed architecture
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps methodologies is an advantage
• Prior experience working with a command center or production support teams.
