What makes an AFF Marketing Specialist?

The Marketing Specialist will be a key contributor that helps strengthen brand presence, enhance customer engagement, and elevate customer experiences to drive growth. Your ability to understand customer needs, develop thoughtful campaigns, and collaborate with teams across the business will be central to success in this role. You will create, execute, analyze, and optimize multi-channel marketing initiatives including personalized messaging, automated journeys, promotional offers, and AI-driven efforts based around data-driven performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels.
  • Apply logic and marketing strategies for communication campaigns
  • Identify target audiences and build automation workflows, triggers, and cadence
  • Build and refine customer and visitor journeys
  • Craft messaging points that are custom-tailored to specific segments
  • A/B testing and creative optimization
  • Be the expert in marketing best practices including deliverability, hygiene, reporting, inbox

placement, as well as keeping a pulse on regulatory and ISP and phone carrier updates that

impact performance-monitor as necessary

  • Monitor and measure campaign performance data, manage and maintain program updates, and

interpret analytics to identify areas for improvement

  • Build and QA campaigns, content, compliance, and link structure
  • Plan and bring ideas based on research and experience to meet annual goals
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to identify opportunities to improve performance
  • Identify, understand, and document processes as needed
  • Comfortable executing multiple projects with quick turnarounds
  • Manage content creation, landing pages and other communication assets, as needed
  • Understand and maintain local, state, and federal policies within the channels and business
  • Ensure timely and effective execution of marketing objectives
  • Identify, interpret, and capitalize on marketing trends
  • Complete marketing research as requested
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4 years of well-rounded marketing/business development experience in Email, SMS, Social

Media, Direct Mail, Affiliate Marketing, PPC, Content Strategy, Design etc.

  • Experience working within major automation platform/service providers, like LiveVox, Mailchimp,

Hubspot, Marketo, Emarsys, SalesForce, Sendgrid, Klaviyo, or Iterable

  • Experience developing reporting and digging into and interpreting data, translating results,

deriving insights and optimizing, is a must

  • Experience with multivariate testing
  • Experience with SMS and browser-based notifications a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and project management
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
  • Detail-oriented with a keen ability to plan and organize to support multiple projects and

deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

  • Additional technical skills related to SQL, CSS, HTML, etc. is a plus · Appetite to learn and stay on top of trends, changes, and new platforms · Ability to multitask and take initiative · Possess strong business ethics; be reliable and dependable · Ability to work with all levels of the organization
