The Manager, Brand Standards is responsible for developing and managing restaurant operations standards, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines, and enhancing operational performance across restaurants at Burger King. This role oversees the Restaurant Excellence Visit (REV) program and manages relationships with external partners, such as Steritech, to maintain consistent quality and operational standards. Reporting to the Director of Operations Excellence, this role plays a key part in ensuring brand standards are met, driving improvements in operational metrics, and supporting cross-functional initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Restaurant Excellence Visit (REV) Program Management
    • Own and update the REV program to align with evolving brand standards, equipment updates, and operational procedures.
    • Prepare and train field teams, franchisees, and regional managers on REV updates, delivering program communications and training sessions.
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leaders on potential adjustments to the REV program based on field feedback.
  • Standards Compliance & External Partnerships
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the brand, field teams, and third-party vendors like Steritech, ensuring consistent application of brand standards.
    • Manage restaurant assessments, investigate concerns, and conduct follow-up visits as needed to address discrepancies in operations.
    • Lead and conduct training for external partners to ensure they understand and enforce current operational standards.
  • Brand Standards Development & Documentation
    • Maintain and update the Brand Standards Manual on a bi-annual basis, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
    • Act as the subject matter expert on brand standards and provide guidance on best practices to field operations and franchisees.
    • Work with analysts to manage restaurant exceptions and address issues requiring customized solutions.
  • Operational Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Identify areas for improvement in restaurant processes, technology, and equipment to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
    • Partner with Supply Chain, Product Innovation, and other departments to test new solutions and implement best practices across the system.
    • Develop and execute action plans to address operational gaps, working collaboratively with field teams to implement solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in restaurant operations or a similar role within hospitality or retail.
  • Strong understanding of QSR industry standards and best practices.
  • People management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with an ability to prioritize multiple initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% as needed.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret operational data.
  • Experience in managing third-party vendor relationships.
  • Ability to drive a culture of compliance, quality, and operational excellence.
