The Physician in the Student Health & Wellness Center provides health support services for IL Tech students. Clinical services provided includes primary care services for students, injuries, health screenings, referrals to community healthcare resources, health education and support students with a variety of health concerns. Primary responsibilities will include: Providing direct patient care services, being available for consultation with SHWC medical team as needed during business hours.

Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver health related services and provide required hours of clinical work.
Special Schedule Requirements
Expected to provide 4 hours per week in support. Provider should have the ability to respond to consultation requests within 12- 24 hours.

Education & Experience
Board certified Family Practice or Internal Medicine MD.
3-5 years of experience in Family medicine or Internal medicine required.
Knowledge & Skills
Basic computer knowledge for data entry, and ability to document via electronic medical recordkeeping.
Knowledge of community health principles, communicable disease prevention and control. Current information on a variety of health related conditions particularly affecting young adults.

1 – Physician Assistant
2 – Nurse Practitioners
Physical Environment and Requirements
Job requires exposure and contact with medical equipment. Exposure to obnoxious odors and vapors seldom. Exposure to blood and other bodily fluids.
List any certifications or licenses that are either required or helpful in performing the job, designating whether required or preferred.
Licensure and certification as a Physician in the state of Illinois required. Current CPR, NPI, number and DEA number required.
