Description

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer opening for our client in Rochester, MN.

Location: Remote

Duration: 9 months

Duties:

  • Design and build scalable, resilient, and accurate back-end services for data-centric clinical and analytic applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineering, platform, and product teams to deliver solutions aligned with clinical and business goals
  • Translate product and technical requirements into working software, working closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Architects
  • Develop services involving data warehousing, big data, cloud computing, business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning
  • Participate in Agile, DevOps, continuous integration, and continuous delivery practices
  • Program in high-level languages such as Go, Python, Java, etc.
  • Implement deployment automation and configuration management using tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
  • Ensure robust documentation for codebases, workflows, and operational processes
  • Participate in expert-level troubleshooting and perform root cause analysis
  • Apply analytical thinking to solve moderately complex problems using prescribed guidelines
  • Build functional knowledge of organizational processes and customer requirements

Skills:

  • Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, with a preference for Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with cloud-based services and modern application development frameworks
  • Familiarity with big data, analytics, and business intelligence platforms
  • Ability to build and maintain scalable, highly available distributed systems
  • Understanding of deployment automation and configuration tools in a DevOps setting
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in software engineering or 2 years of experience coding applications or services in a high-level language (e.g., Java, Go, Python, C++, C#)
  • Experience working within Agile and DevOps environments
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with the software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, version control, and testing
  • Preferred experience in healthcare-related software development

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70.00/hour to $75.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
