Occupational Therapist

QUALIFICATIONS:

• QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must meet all health, physical and background-check requirements.
• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Must have successfully completed a supervised clinical internship.
• Must have passed a national OT certification board exam NBCOT.
• Must have appropriate Tennessee licensure and /or certification in
• Occupational Therapy.
• Must have a broad knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in the areas
• relevant to providing occupational therapy to eligible students in the public
• school setting.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills-ability to work cooperatively and
• effectively with a wide range of people (i.e., students, school administrators,
• teachers, support staff and parents.)
• Must have strong written and verbal skills.
• Must be able to carry out the responsibilities of the position with limited
• direct supervision.
• Must be able to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks
• efficiently and effectively. Areas of proficiency, sensory processing, sensory
• integration, visual motor, visual perception as they relate to school service
• needs.
