Cash Application Supervisor (Full Time)

Supervises the daily operations workflow and the staff activities associated with the Cash Application area for Patient Financial Services. Demonstrates a working knowledge of Government and Non-Government payer rules, regulations, and reimbursement. Must be detailed oriented, possess advanced mathematical skills, and have sharp analytical skills to resolve financial issues as they relate to multiple groups including third party payers; physicians, patients, and the use of the accounts receivables system. Responsible for monitoring the daily functions and staff activities to ensure that the set standards are maintained and the daily work functions are performed as assigned.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

  • Four (4) or more years’ experience in a Healthcare setting or equivalent Non-Healthcare experience.
  • a minimum 3 years in a Supervisory position and/or Team Lead role.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
  • Associates degree or equivalent certification/experience.
