Job Title: Software Engineer 4 - Device Drivers, System bring-up, FreeBSD/Linux kernel

Responsibilities

• You will work with product management and other multi-functional teams to develop detailed software functional specification.
• Eloquent system software architecture specifications that meet product requirements.
• Software development in the areas of platform infrastructure, device drivers, kernel, chassis control, device management.
• Opportunity to work on next generation line cards, Ethernet, OTN and Optical technologies.
• You will carry out detailed design, implementation, unit and integration testing of device/kernel drivers and other related software components for products and features.
• Work closely with system and solution test teams to ensure accurate and complete verification of software and components that meet real-life network deployments.

Requirements

• BTech / MTech in CS/CE or related field with 7+ years years proven experience.
• In-depth knowledge of data networking, e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet, and Routing etc.
• Proficiency with device drivers, system bring-up, FreeBSD/Linux kernel.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong in C, C++ programming, OO analysis & design, data structures and system debugging skills.
• Good understanding of firmware, hardware level details for :Linecard, PCIe, SPI, I2C, Retimers, FPGA, CPLD, MDIO, Flash Driver
• Prior software development experience on networking products would be a plus.
