The Research and Development (R&D) Team is part of the Operations Development and Innovation Team. R&D drives innovation by developing and testing new products, processes, and technologies to improve efficiency and quality. The R&D Team serves as subject matter experts—identifying improvement opportunities, resolving complex issues, and supporting other teams with technique-specific expertise. R&D covers all production techniques and communicates with facilities globally. The team is well-versed in industry standards for each technique, ensuring we stay up to date with ongoing research and innovations in the field.

About The Role

As an R&D Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving innovation and operational excellence across our global network of fulfillment centers. In this high-impact position, you will lead cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing production workflows, introducing new technologies, and enabling the launch of cutting-edge products. Your mission is to elevate product quality, enhance production efficiency, and reduce costs—all while supporting both Printful and Printify platforms.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to test new production techniques, streamline processes, and bring scalable solutions to life. Your Daily Tasks Will Entail

• Develop new manufacturing solutions and introduce new products
• Coordinating testing projects from A to Z (e. g., introducing new products, optimizing production flows and technologies, standardizing and enhancing quality, etc.)
• Developing concise and effective reports on research, high-impact activities, and testing as necessary
• Working on production process improvement and development
• Assist with pre-press development
• Prepare and manage offers and integrated solutions for production
• Preparing projects, performing related project tasks, and reporting on project implementations
• Coordinating or performing any additional tasks outside of the above scope that may be requested

Your Qualifications

• Strong technical and analytical mindset
• Project management skills
• Experience in print production is strongly preferred
• Generally organized and detail-oriented
• Very good English (both written and spoken)
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to manage pressure well
• Passionate about your work with a strong drive
• Wish and ability to travel to our fulfillment centers and visiting partners

Proven record with experience in production and/or engineering including implementation of innovations will be considered as an advantage.
