Mail Room Associate

Location: Lexington, KY

Pay rate: $15.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - Clean Desk (Expect to work 10-12 hrs. on Mondays and Tuesdays)

About the Mail Room Associate role:

We are seeking a reliable, fast-learning Mail Room Associate to join our dynamic team of 58 professionals. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a high-volume mailroom environment. You will be cross trained in various mailroom functions and expected to adapt to daily assignments as directed by the team lead.

Job Details:

  • Report daily to the team lead for task assignments and instructions
  • Perform a variety of mailroom duties including:
    • Sorting mail
    • Slicing and preparing documents
    • Quality control (QC) checks
    • Scanning and indexing documents
    • Stuffing envelopes and packaging
    • Driving/delivery tasks (if applicable)
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in all assigned tasks
  • Follow safety and operational procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
  • Work extended hours on Mondays and as needed throughout the week

Requirements:

  • Fast learner with a proactive attitude
  • Willingness to work overtime, especially on Mondays
  • Basic computer knowledge (email, data entry, scanning software)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Comfortable sitting or standing for long periods
  • Previous mailroom or warehouse experience is a plus but not required
  • Be at least 18 yrs of age
  • Must be able to clear criminal background check
  • Be eligible to legally work in the United States
  • Have a minimum of High school graduation or GED

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $15/hr.
