Overview
Responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the practice which includes, but is not limited to: providing supervision and direction to the practice staff, able to assist in training new staff members and assist in continued training for existing staff, conducting monthly and/or weekly staff meetings, promoting customer service, constantly analyzing operations, and attempting to improve processes, in order to provide better patient services and improve the revenue cycle, maintain favorable relations between physicians, patients, hospital administration and Medical Group departments, and supervising staff performing revenue cycle activities ensuring daily adherence to policies regarding scheduling, pre-registration, registration, charge capture, point of service payments, insurance verification, financial counseling and quality monitoring. May have additional department specific as necessary.
Responsibilities
Establishes and maintains efficient and responsive patient flow by: managing provider schedules and appointment slots; collaborating with providers to address issues/concerns affecting patient flow; prioritizing work activities - evaluating effectiveness and modifying work assignments as necessary, ensuring supplies available/accessible and exam rooms stocked. Schedules staff to meet the demands of the practice. Supervises staff to ensure practice optimization. Creates and maintains Weekly, Monthly KPI reporting to Managers. Provides budget compliance and variance reports, including corrective action plan. Establish and monitor audit controls to ensure billable services are accounted for. Monitors missing slips report. Reconciles provider services performed outside the office to ensure charges are captured and submitted for billing. Monitors registration process for accuracy. Adheres to financial clearance procedures ensuring that payment responsibility is identified and that services are payable. Ensures collection of time of service payments to include co-pays, deductibles and prior balances. Ensures orientation and training checklists are completed. Assures annual mandatory education is completed on time. Ensures required competencies are assessed and documented, in conjunction with the Clinical Coordinator for specific competencies.
Qualifications
High school or equivalent
Five years medical office experience
DE Driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations
