Material Handler position available in South Austin!
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our team in a manufacturing warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will spend 50% of their time supporting production operations and 50% managing inventory to ensure smooth workflow and efficient material handling.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Duties (50% of Time)
- Assist in the production process by preparing, handling, and moving materials and components to and from production lines.
- Operate machinery and equipment as needed to support manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with production team members to ensure that production goals are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Inventory Management Duties (50% of Time)
- Receive, inspect, and track incoming shipments of raw materials and supplies.
- Perform regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas for easy access and efficient workflow.
- Utilize inventory management software to update stock levels and report discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus (training may be provided).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 pounds] regularly.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
