Location: Hauppauge, NY | Pay: $20.00–$28.00/hour
Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule Flexibility Required: Some weekends, overnights, and off-hour shifts, especially during events
We’re looking for two dependable, hands-on team players to join our fast-paced and creative event fabrication team! We’re currently hiring for two open positions:
- Event Carpenter
- Field Installation Technician
Each position plays a key role in building and installing custom event structures, scenic elements, and branded environments for corporate and private clients.
1. Event Carpenter
As an Event Carpenter, you'll be responsible for crafting high-quality, visually compelling builds for live events, installations, and exhibitions. Your work will help bring creative visions to life, ensuring quality, durability, and safety on every project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble scenic elements, props, and custom structures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Install LED lighting and wiring when needed.
- Restore, repair, or repurpose damaged props and builds.
- Assist with painting and surface finishing.
- Work with materials including wood, acrylic/plastic, aluminum, and more.
- Collaborate with fabricators, designers, and production staff to complete builds on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of carpentry experience (event or theatrical carpentry preferred).
- Proficiency with carpentry tools, machinery, and construction techniques.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong eye for detail, quality craftsmanship, and safety.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed for on-site work.
2. Field Installation Technician
As a Field Installation Technician, you’ll be on the frontlines—transporting, setting up, and breaking down our installations at event venues, trade shows, and corporate activations. You'll represent our company on-site and ensure our custom work is safely and precisely installed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to client/event sites for installation and teardown of custom builds, booths, and signage.
- Load and unload vehicles; transport materials, tools, and build components.
- Read floorplans and technical specs to ensure accurate setups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- Maintain tools, hardware, and fleet equipment.
- Represent the company professionally and communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Requirements:
- Experience in construction, installation, AV, fabrication, or event setup.
- Skilled with power tools, hardware, and manual labor.
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work long shifts on your feet.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL a plus but not required).
- Flexible schedule—able to travel for overnight or weekend installs (advance notice is provided).
- Bonus: Experience reading blueprints, forklift certification, or experience with box trucks/sprinters.
