Knowledge Manager, Mid

The Opportunity:

As a Knowledge Manager, you will be applying knowledge management methodology to develop processes for a DoD client to enable and improve their organizational efficiencies to support the defense mission. You will perform information management functions, including posting, editing, distributing, and maintaining appropriate content on classified and unclassified websites and portals. Organizing data, establishing file structures, and ensuring information is captured and stored in locations accessible to authorized users. Ensuring proper security protocols are used to protect classified, proprietary, and personally identifiable information. You will also be able to leverage your Microsoft (MS) SharePoint to search, discover, store, and retrieve data. You’ll work independently with minimal guidance.

As a Knowledge Manager on our team, you’ll help your client understand their operational landscape. Using your understanding of various collection platforms, you’ll explore new data sources, build effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources. You’ll assist with aligning processes and technology to enable information sharing by analysts and organizations for analytic production. Uses centralized and peripheral databases, content management, records management systems, and shapes workflow and processes. Compiles reports on performance and usage metrics and future requirements for existing knowledge management capabilities, including search, discovery, storage, and retrieval of data and formal production and taskings. Disseminates intelligence products across separate networks and portals.

You Have:

  • Experience with using SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with assessing processes and providing strategic recommendations for improvement
  • Knowledge of databases or data sets in report and metric building
  • Knowledge of the DoD and IC environments
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in knowledge management working groups
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience as a SharePoint knowledge manager, or Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience as a SharePoint knowledge manager

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience as a knowledge manager in the DoD
  • Experience as a SharePoint developer
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including briefing senior defense and government officials

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
