Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: The IT Dry Dock Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of all IT-related scopes within NCLH's Dry Dock initiatives across the fleet. This role ensures successful implementation of infrastructure upgrades, network enhancements, security systems, and all technology requirements associated with ship refurbishment, within budget and schedule constraints. The Project Manager will collaborate with shipboard and shoreside teams, vendors, and cross-functional departments to deliver on-time, high-quality IT solutions that support vessel readiness and guest experience. Deliver efficient and effective solutions requested by our stakeholders, capitalizing on project management methodologies, adhering to security and architecture standards, and delivering the best solutions that meet business requirements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage IT deliverables for all scheduled Dry Dock projects across NCLH's fleet (NCL, Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises)
  • Develop detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations specific to the IT scope of each Dry Dock
  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT, Business Stakeholders, Shipboard Leadership, and third-party vendors for Dry Dock planning and execution
  • Capture and Manage scope/requirements from Business Stakeholders that will require IT support to completion
  • Coordinate the procurement and installation of network and server hardware driven by business requirements
  • Track risks, issues, and change requests; escalate appropriately to ensure timely resolution and alignment with IT and shipboard operations
  • Ensure compliance with IT security and governance standards, including cybersecurity requirements and asset tracking
  • Perform onsite inspections at dry docks to ensure quality adherence/assurance of work concluded
  • Maintain documentation and pre/post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and drive process improvements for future Dry Docks
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Information Technology, Project Management, Engineering, or related field required

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project management or related role. Experience within the cruise, hospitality, or maritime industry with involvement in large-scale refurbishment, construction, or Dry Dock initiatives preferred.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Ability to make strong, effective, sound, and independent decisions and logical judgment to assure timely completion of projects and resolutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira)
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically for extended periods of time

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • PMP certification preferred.
