Senior Product Designer, Exceptional Ability

Boundless

Who Boundless Is

We’re a team of immigrants and experts who have struggled with our own journeys through the complex, high-stakes U.S. immigration system. We are building customer-centric products and experiences to become the first trusted brand in immigration. We are the largest player in the family immigration industry, and a high-growth challenger serving corporate clients. Across both consumer and business segments, we’ve helped over 100,000 individuals and 1,000 businesses to successfully navigate the convoluted immigration process.

Today, we are a dynamic growth-stage technology company with 350+ employees across the U.S. and Philippines. We are growing both organically and through strategic acquisitions. We are well-capitalized, backed by influential venture investors around the country—including Foundry Group (led by Brad Feld), Emerson Collective (Laurene Powell Jobs’ foundation), Pioneer Square Labs, Two Sigma Ventures, Trilogy Equity Partners, and Jerry Yang.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for an experienced Product Designer to lead the design of our Exceptional Ability segment, the fastest growing part of our business. You will be responsible for creating intuitive designs that simplify complex immigration processes for clients and operations teams. You’ll work directly with executive and cross-functional leaders to develop a product roadmap that expands the platform’s user experience, capabilities, and reach.

In this role, you’ll also work closely with PMs and engineers to shadow users and identify problems. You’ll define product requirements, create and iterate on designs, and collaborate to ensure the products we build are intuitive and impactful. Beyond project work, you’ll help further the design culture at Boundless as one of the earliest designers.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with a PM to understand customer needs, business goals, constraints, market opportunities
  • Conduct and synthesize research to understand customer needs and validate design decisions
  • Design new features and services from the ground up, sometimes starting with broadly defined loose concepts, sometimes on narrowly defined, tactical features
  • Design AI-powered features alongside other technical solutions that improve internal and customer-facing processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define and implement product requirements, ensuring the designs meet user needs and business goals
  • Partner with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation and iterate based on feedback
  • Work with fellow designers to expand and evolve the Boundless design system
  • Drive a culture of design excellence within the team, setting high expectations for quality and user-centric design

We are looking for:

  • 7+ years of professional experience designing digital products
  • Passion for transforming immigration for businesses and employees
  • Web design experience for mobile and desktop
  • Strong interaction and visual design skills
  • A portfolio that shows your proven ability to create intuitive, beautiful experiences
  • Experience conceiving and iterating on features based on research, data, and strategy
  • Experience conducting user research and testing to validate design decisions
  • A strong collaborator and communicator with designers and non-designers alike
  • Proficiency in Figma and excitement to innovate with AI
