What you will do

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Commercial Rating Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in rating new, renewal, and endorsement transactions for multiple lines of business and states working in various systems. They will also be responsible for issuing and processing policies and endorsements, as well as maintaining acceptable productivity levels established by management. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimum direction from the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Rating Transactions: Rate new, renewal, and/or endorsement transactions for multiple lines of business and states working in various systems.
• Policy Processing: Issue and process policies and endorsements.
• Independent Work: Perform all tasks with minimum direction from the supervisor.
• Manual Interpretation: Review, apply, and interpret rating manuals, statistical plans, ISO bulletins, and processing manuals/bulletins.
• Training Support: Assist the supervisor in the more technical areas of training for other rater/coders.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner when additional information is needed, ensuring timely issuance.
• Productivity Standards: Maintain acceptable productivity levels established by management.
• Special Projects: Assist with reports, troubleshooting issues, and special projects/initiatives as needed, delivering by deadlines and adjusting work to changing priorities.

What you need:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience: 5 years working with property/liability rating; 3 years as a Commercial Rater dealing with multiple states and lines of business.

Salary: $39,292-$56,420

The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range will take into consideration the individual’s work experience, geographic location, education, certification(s) or additional qualifications, and scope and responsibilities within the role.

Additional Information:

This position is a full time hourly, non exempt (overtime eligible) position.
