This job is a full time (12-Month), benefited, FLSA exempt position in the Nursing Sciences Division that reports to the Dean of Nursing Sciences.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience not to exceed the budgeted amount of $74,880/YR
Schedule - 40-hours per week, on campus, at the Alpharetta-North Fulton campus; Monday through Friday; May occasionally work at the Lawrenceville Campus
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 10708)
Doctorate or Master's degree in discipline OR pursuing Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in discipline completed. Current RN licensure in Georgia. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all regulatory agencies and appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the minimum qualifications, two years experience teaching college-level nursing courses or two years experience as an obstetrics/maternal health registered nurse is required. Experience in simulation a plus. Experience in course and curriculum development, demonstrated flexibility with diverse student population and learning styles; demonstrated experience with a variety of teaching strategies including the use of advanced instructional technologies. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and the community. Ability to teach in the classroom and in multiple clinical settings, obstetrics/maternal health specialization required, BLS/PALS certification a plus. Proficient in written and oral communication. Demonstrated occupational competency. Must be computer literate with the ability to use common software programs. Some experience with online instruction a plus.
