We are seeking a 1st Senior Operations Manager at WVU Ruby Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.
The Senior Operations Manager – Environmental Services is responsible for the daily oversight and leadership of environmental services operations within the hospital. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that meets or exceeds regulatory, safety, and infection control standards. The Senior Operations Manager will lead a team of supervisors and frontline staff, manage operational workflows, monitor performance metrics, and collaborate with other departments to support a high standard of patient care and hospital operations.

Required:
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the EVS team across all hospital units and departments.
- Supervise and support EVS supervisors, ensuring effective staffing, scheduling, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, OSHA regulations, and infection prevention protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate cleanliness standards through routine inspections, audits, and quality control initiatives.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training programs.
- Manage departmental budgets, supply inventories, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee waste management programs, including hazardous and biohazardous waste disposal.
- Partner with nursing, facilities, infection control, and other hospital leaders to align EVS services with hospital needs.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare reports, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), and present operational updates to leadership.
- Respond to urgent cleaning needs, hospital emergencies, or environmental hazards with appropriate action.
- Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.
Qualifications:
- Employees in Healthcare are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a term and condition of employment at Xanitos, absent a legally required Medical or Religious exception, and are required to report their vaccination status and upload proof of vaccination via a secure online portal.
- High School diploma required. College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of progressive experience in environmental services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital environmental services, infection prevention, and sanitation protocols.
- Proven ability to manage teams in a union or non-union environment.
- Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure or emergency situations.
- Flexibility to work some differing shifts

- Proficient in the use of Windows based office software
- Experience with hospital facility management systems or EVS software platforms
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports using digital tools and dashboards.
