Job Description:

Summary:

The Part-Time Event Data Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of collecting and tracking data on CTRL’s programs and events. In consultation with the Assistant Vice Provost, they create, update, and test CTRL’s SharePoint-based event registration and attendance database; manage attendance tracking; create and update data dashboards of the registration and attendance patterns at all of CTRL’s programs; collaborate with other staff on the creation, dissemination, and summarizing of feedback surveys and evaluations of all CTRL programs; and coordinate the collection of data and other information from CTRL staff, and design and summarize this information into CTRL’s Annual Report. The person in this position is also responsible for managing CTRL’s SharePoint-based Green Teaching Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the collection and tracking of all data on CTRL’s programs and events.
  • Manages the SharePoint and Qualtrics registration systems used for CTRL’s programs and events.
  • Builds annual and shorter-term data dashboards on registration and attendance demographics.
  • Manages the continuous CTRL customer relations database.
  • Explores and innovates new ways to visualize CTRL data.
  • Gathers and formats data for and assists in the creation of CTRL’s Annual Report.
  • Manages the Green Teaching Program.
  • Assisting with programs and events as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • Part-Time.
  • 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.
  • Position duration is for 30 weeks.
  • Variable hourly work during spring, summer, and winter breaks (with high volume work during the two weeks prior to the beginning of the fall semester, the week prior to the beginning of the spring semester, and the week following the end of the spring semester, due to major events).

Salary Range:

  • $18 per hour.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Current AU graduate student with completed BA/BS.
  • Must be able to exercise initiative, work independently, and take ownership of striving towards accuracy in our data collection.
  • Must be creative, results oriented, excel in customer service, and have strong administrative skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Familiarity with SharePoint and related software (Microsoft InfoPath and SharePoint Designer) as well as the survey platform Qualtrics is preferred, but can be acquired in the job.
  • Experience with database management.
