Assistant Operations Manager – a leader who oversees and optimizes the day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and profitability
Responsibilities
- Work with all branch personnel to execute strategies to maximize profits in conjunction with client requirements and following company policies and procedures
- Responsible for managing various aspects of the organization, including quality of work, inventory management and resource allocation.
- Assistant Operations Manager plays a crucial role in employee management, strategic planning and cost reduction.
- Will help oversee daily operations of the division including but not limited to coordinating personnel, implementing safety guidelines.
- Accountable for ensuring process safety and safety compliance by leading incident investigations, ensuring emergency response preparedness, and providing assistance for work scope development
- Dispatches personnel and equipment to jobs using most cost-effective manner
- Communicate regularly with sales team to ensure job priorities are being followed and quality is acceptable and resolve any conflicts.
- Ensures all mechanics have tools and parts to conduct their required jobs, arriving at job site when scheduled, to maintain progress.
- Cultivate an inclusive, diverse, and highly effective team culture
- Help ensure that the disciplinary actions are administered in a fair manner
- Work with operations to write up job procedures
- Effectively manage relationships with customers and vendors
- Assist in equipment preventative maintenance
- Adhere to and train all personnel to ensure OSHA safety and company policy and procedures
- Helps plan and execute safety meetings, conduct monthly safety audits
- Regulates all hours to personnel to distribute hours equally and fairly
- Manage the inventory and orders
- Support fieldwork and supervise shop during peak periods
- Track loaned equipment and personnel
- Performs on call duty as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
