We are looking for ADAS PE (Project Engineer) , for the Customer engineering team, who has automotive industry experience with proven track record of product level ownership & commercialization into major auto OEMs. The ideal candidate for this position would have worked in the automotive AD/ADAS ecosystem - OEM or Tier1, led and managed hardware/software delivery of a major project into an OEM. The ADAS CE PE oversees the customers’ (OEM/ODM) product portfolio and manages the technical aspects of the components (hardware and software) that are designed into the customers’ projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Be able to understand end-to-end requirements of ADAS product
• Have a good understanding on underlying technologies, Deep understanding on 2 or more areas written below is a plus.

  • Camera
  • AI ML
  • Functional Safety HW vs SW
  • Have a familiarity with ADAS project Milestones: MVP, DV/PV, Road Test Readiness, Road release milestone

Responsibilities include:

• Should be representing Qualcomm for customer meetings on technical requirements/discussions, Able to highlight key Gaps, new asks & get them prioritized to meet customer schedule.
• Should be able to provide constructive feedback to internal teams based on RCA & learning from KEY lead projects
• Should be able to drive cross-functional issues across technologies at multiple stages of ADAS project life-cycle
• Should provide guidance & leadership to the local team on complex customer issues on specific technologies
• Should work with Key stakeholders' Global CE leads (ADAS leads, tech leads) to highlight the Key changes/requests/Pain points from customers
• As primary owner of customer projects, manage overall project from conceptualization to mass production as part of program manager role
• Identifies technical needs and risks so that technical solutions can be developed to prevent crisis and engineering gaps.
• Customer relationship development and managing

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ Years of software experience in embedded software development.
• 5+ years in Automobile software development with Auto Tier1, OEM.
• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing role
• 3+ Years of experience of leadership role, with Product level ownership. Experience leading and directing engineers in independent functional organizations.
• Ability to proactively manage customer expectations and influence customer relations and design decisions
• Experience interfacing with & managing deliverables into Auto OEMs.
• Experience through all phases of Product life cycle from requirements, bring-up, software integration, certification, commercialization.
• Program Management experience, managing complex technical projects from Tier1s or OEMs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with cross functional teams.
• Quick Adaptability to work in new technologies.
• Exposure to Qualcomm mobile or Automotive platforms is a plus
• Exposure to Automotive AD/ADAS product development and/or technical support is a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 3+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 3+ years of experience with debugging techniques.
