THE JOB:

The Chief of Security (CSO) is responsible for leading and executing all security operations, standards, and strategies to ensure the safety and protection of their assigned MGM Resorts International (MGMRI) property or venue. This role oversees and directs security staff, physical security measures, and operational support to maintain a secure environment across the property.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Partner with VP Zone Leads: Maintain daily communication to align on uniform safety, security, and readiness protocols at assigned properties.
  • Lead and Mentor Staff: Conduct weekly staff meetings, provide bi-weekly mentorship sessions, and develop ongoing training programs for staff development.
  • Security Assessment Review: Plan, implement, and propose improvements based on annual security assessments, focusing on policies, staffing, and technology.
  • Drive Security Operations: Organize bi-weekly reviews of security operations and COE strategies, track performance metrics, and gather staff feedback for enhancements.
  • Incident Oversight: Ensure a robust incident response plan, conduct crisis management drills, and lead post-incident reviews for continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Hold monthly strategy review sessions with the VP Zone Lead to adapt to changing security environments and company initiatives, presenting actionable recommendations.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred but not required.
  • 4+ Years in security, with government or private industry experience.
  • Background in risk assessments, operational security plans, security reviews, and after-action reports.
  • Familiarity with corporate and/or resort settings.
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to safety and compliance.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is:

$147,800.00 - $246,300.00

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s incentive plan.This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s equity plan.
