Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Gorham, ME. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the production line by transporting materials to operators and assemblers, using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Training and certification for forklift operations will be provided in-house.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the production line by transporting materials to operators and assemblers.
  • Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Help with inventory management and complete cycle counts.
  • Use computers for inventory tracking and management.

Essential Skills

  • Material handling experience.
  • Production environment experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 6 months to one year or more of relevant experience.
  • Comfortable working with computers.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing setting, working with metal parts, cast iron, and more. The first shift consists of 50-60 people, and the hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes and long pants.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gorham, Maine.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
