This role involves extensive travel within the Montreal, QC area with occasional travel to the U.S.

Please note that this is a fixed-term position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet assigned revenue and profitability sales targets and expand business within assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain successful customer relations with purchasing and end users.
  • Make decisions independently, use available resources, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to meet customer needs.
  • Handle pricing within territory to control profitability.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and records for proper management of territory.
  • Connect with supervisor regarding any customer issues or potential problems and perform other tasks assigned by the manager.
  • Inform customers of supply and price trends, assist in inventory control, and consult with customers.
  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably Life Sciences, Chemistry, or a related field).

Experience

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry, or equivalent lab experience.
  • Fully bilingual: French and English.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Enthusiastic and driven with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects.
  • Works exceptionally well in team environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.
  • Strong industry, clinical, and science background preferred.
  • Able and willing to travel to customer locations (mostly Central and Eastern Montreal).
  • Driver's license and vehicle required.
