Description

RiverTech is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personnel Security (PERSEC) Assistant to support the Joint Staff Security Office (JSSO) in managing and maintaining compliance with Federal, DoD, and organizational personnel security policies. The PERSEC Security Assistant will assist with processing security clearances, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with security standards and guidelines. Responsibilities

  • Directly supports the administration of DOD security programs by:
  • Assist with initiating, reviewing, and tracking personnel security clearance applications and status in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Develop and maintain personnel security files in accordance with established retention policies, to include accurate and up-to-date clearance documentation and records in designated systems.
  • Support the enforcement of personnel security policies, ensuring alignment with Federal, DoD, and organizational requirements.
  • Assist with Continuous Vetting investigations and adjudications as required.
  • Help coordinate and facilitate security-related training and briefings for personnel, including onboarding and annual refresher sessions, while ensuring training completion and maintaining accurate training records.
  • Provide customer support by responding to inquiries related to personnel security matters, providing clear and accurate guidance.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a respective field of expertise.
  • TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of the U.S. Government Security Programs and skills in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements for which they support.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
