Job Title: Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Vertical Lathe Operator to perform essential operations on lathe machines. The role involves loading and unloading new parts, conducting inspections, managing tool changes, and performing preventative maintenance and minor adjustments. You will be responsible for running and maintaining the function of two or more machines within a manufacturing cell and utilizing height gauges, micrometers, calipers, and various power tools to ensure precision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform required operations on lathe machines.
  • Load and unload new parts and conduct part inspections.
  • Manage tool changes and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Run and maintain the function of two or more machines in the manufacturing cell.
  • Use height gauges, micrometers, calipers, and various power tools.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with lathe machines, machining, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using calipers and Haas equipment.
  • 1-3 years of experience in lathe machining or grinding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of vertical lathe operations.
  • Ability to perform minor machine adjustments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
