We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our industrial fabrication shop. You will play a crucial role in moving steel within bays and handling various materials, including small fabricated metal components and large structural steel beams and columns. Your expertise will ensure safe and efficient loading practices while collaborating with team members to meet production and shipping deadlines.
Founded in 1949, our company has a rich history as one of the most prestigious complex steel fabricators in the Western United States. Our distinguished team, consisting of over 300 employees, is renowned for its expertise in project management, structural steel, and bridge fabrication. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse project portfolio, including bridges, commercial buildings, hospitals, stadiums, and industrial structures. After converting to a direct employee, you will join the Local 516 Ironworkers Union, which provides higher wages, pensions, family health plans, and greater respect for your profession and skills.
You will work in a 180,000 sq ft single steel fabrication facility, one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest. The facility is AISC certified for high-rise buildings, bridges, marine, and other structural steel projects. Our company also holds an AISC Sophisticated Paint, Indoor endorsement QP3 (SPE) with years of experience applying surface treatments and paint. The work schedule includes a Day Shift from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm and a Swing Shift from 4:30 pm to 2:30 am, both running Monday through Thursday.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, Oregon.
The pay range for this position is $23.35 - $26.00/hr.
