Summary:
Energy Transfer is seeking a Maintenance Manager responsible for E&I maintenance for our Nederland Terminal. This position is in Nederland, TX.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to the Maintenance Director and provides a critical role in the leadership team at Nederland Terminal.
- Responsible to provide leadership in safety, and reliability for the facility maintenance and contract workforce. Provide leadership as a team member of the Nederland Operations/Maintenance management team. Attend and participate in all relevant Safety meetings and activities.
- Supports and assists HES training activities, policies and procedures
- Supports various field and system audits.
- Responsible for management of terminal E&I maintenance activities
- Oversees and directs, technical supervisor, E&I scheduler/planner and E&I technicians
- Provides guidance to resolve operational problems as required
- Works closely with other departments to maintain efficient operations
- Supports capital projects through project commissioning activities
- Ensures electrical and instrument equipment reliability and efficiency
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Collaborates on and manages electrical maintenance expense budget to complete required repairs/upgrades at minimal cost.
- Performs budget re-forecasting as appropriate
- Provides recommendations for operational improvements through submission of capital and expense projects as part of the annual budgeting process
- Provides manager/director relief in various areas in the event of a terminal emergency or business need
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- A minimum of 8+ years’ experience in the electrical/instrument industry
- Must possess knowledge of electrical/instrument equipment required for liquid petroleum operations
- Prior supervisory/management experience
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to comply with and enforce Company safety policies and procedures
- Must have excellent PC skills and be proficient with applicable software applications
- Knowledge of PLC’s and PLC programming, electrical systems, pumps, motors, valves, etc.
- Must possess knowledge of PHMSA and PSM regulations including Operator Qualification (OQ) requirements
- Be proficient in reading drawings and P&IDs
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Maintenance experience with NGL, and crude equipment
- Marine/dock experience
- Rail car maintenance experience
- Pipeline maintenance experience
- VRU, VCU experience

- Position is subject to 24 hour, 7 days per week on call availability.
- Capable of managing outdoor maintenance activities in extreme weather.
- Ability to climb storage tanks and ladders, work safely in hazardous environments and the ability to respond to emergency situations as required.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
