The Fulfillment tech family is one of the pillars allowing Grab to out-serve our customers and partners. We are working on high throughput, real-time distributed systems that use machine learning techniques to solve millions of requests per day. Our mission is to offer the best products and experiences to our driver partners as to increase adoption and engagement of our services. Improve driver partner opportunities and efficiency to fulfill customer orders. And to create efficient marketplaces by determining an price that is both sustainable and loved by our partners and customers.

Get to know the role

This role is required because we are supporting the project planning and growing business. I You will report to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and be based onsite at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Define test plans, test specifications, test suites, test cases and proposed tools for functional, security and performance testing
• Understand the product/feature in-depth from the end-user point of view and the underlying implementation.
• Understand the feature and the implementation to find and build feature tests and impacted feature test cases.
• Debug failed test cases by analyzing logs and API responses and report bugs with details. Follow-up on bugs to closure.
• Maintain UI (Web, Mobile app) and API automation suites. Debug and correct script and data issues in automation suites.
• Understand automation framework and add automation test cases for the new features and regression test cases

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields
• 1 year experience as QA Engineer/Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer
• Experience with test methodologies, test planning, and test case design
• Have hands-on coding experience with test automation (Mobile app and API automation), including script languages (Python) or other languages (JavaScript, Go)
• Experience using build and release pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or equivalent
