Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

This position performs detailed inspections at different phases of production throughout the manufacturing process. Quality inspectors are also responsible for the preparation of quality documentation and maintenance of accurate and organized quality records using good documentation practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections at different phases of production throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Prepare quality documentation and maintain accurate and organized quality records.
  • Measure using indicators, calipers, and detect attribute defects.
  • Perform various computer-related tasks and programs including but not limited to: Excel, Microsoft Access, Word, Mini-Tab, and others related to the Quality Improvement Department.
  • Ensure calibration of equipment is performed accurately.
  • Maintain neat and organized records and files.
  • Apply problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Adhere to high levels of technical expertise in Quality Assurance standards and document control.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in inspection, quality control, and quality inspection.
  • Experience with visual inspection and production.
  • Proficiency in statistical process control.
  • Ability to perform measurements with indicators and calipers.
  • Competence in detecting attribute defects.
  • Proficiency with computer programs such as Excel, Microsoft Access, Word, Mini-Tab.
  • Calibration experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • High level of technical expertise in Quality Assurance standards and document control.
  • Associates Degree with 3+ years of experience (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Highschool Diploma required.
  • Experience with calipers and micrometers.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neptune, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
