At Amazon Devices, we're constantly looking for ways to improve our supply chain systems and how we get our products to our customers. Amazon’s Device Postponement Operation (DPO) manages a complete supply chain (from raw material procurement to assembly to finished goods delivery) waiting until the product is in the sales region before determining its final configuration. The information technology and processes required to manage supply chain postponement are highly specialized, respond quickly to demand changes, and leverage AI extensively.
We are looking for a dynamic, driven, organized, analytical and creative Technical Program Manager to join our team. This role requires an innovative thinker and a detail oriented, execution leader to drive supply chain system innovations across Amazon internal teams and external partners.
A qualified candidate will have a background and experience managing large, complex, supply chain technology initiatives that deliver critical solutions across multiple teams and/or across organizations. The candidate will understand risks caused by technical complexity. The candidate will have experience supporting supply chain processes including: demand and supply forecasting, production and material planning, material procurement, manufacturing execution, automation control, and logistics planning and execution. The candidate will have experience with transaction systems (e.g., APS/ERP/MRP/TMS/WMS/MES), automation control systems (e.g., PLC), descriptive analytics (e.g., supply metric dashboards), predictive analytics systems (e.g., machine learning forecast models), and prescriptive analytics systems (e.g., supply network optimizer, allocation optimizer). They will have experience writing technical requirements, managing software development across multiple teams, developing and implementing standard test methods, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in the field.
