AVP, Finance Team Leader

As the AVP, Finance Team Leader you will be responsible for all aspects of expense financial reporting, planning, and analysis for the A&H division. This includes leading annual planning and periodic forecasting of expense results, managing accruals, sales incentive compensation, and contingent commissions, as well as reporting on staffing metrics. You will play a key role in month-end expense reporting and external self-reporting to Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) and Assistance Service Providers (ASPs).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with an Accounting/Finance major (preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a large public company in an accounting or financial analysis role, or large/Big 4 firm in an auditing role
  • CPA, MBA or CPCU candidates (preferred).
  • Insurance accounting/financial knowledge understanding (preferred)

Competencies:

  • Ability to work effectively and independently with other disciplines and all levels of management/staff throughout the organization.
  • Must be able to translate financial data/information into a relevant business narrative/provide insight, drive performance excellence, champion expense control.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong analytical skills including the use of various internal system applications to gather and analyze data (including Excel, TM1, PeopleSoft, BAR, Vision, etc.)
  • Ability to problem solve and work autonomously to manage and prioritize multiple projects, people and stakeholders.
  • Constant evaluation of processes for improvements and efficiencies.
  • Manage 2 direct reports

The pay range for the role is $110,000 to $188,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
